Key Strategies and Technologies that Every Academic Should Know

Creating Your Scholarly Online Profile (Workshop 1)

Richard Hayman, Associate Professor and Digital Initiatives Librarian
Erika Smith, Assistant Professor and Faculty Development Consultant
Leah Hamilton, Associate Professor and Research Development Officer

In this workshop series, MRU faculty will learn principles and best practices for online scholarly engagement
and promotion.

Those in higher education across the globe are facing new demands for their teaching and research beyond the walls of the academy, and an ever-increasing need to engage within the public sphere. Moving from introductory to more advanced digital engagement approaches, these workshops focus on capturing impact and practical ways to build one’s scholarly online presence.

These workshops are intended for MRU faculty who are actively disseminating their scholarship and seeking wider audiences, as well as those who are interested in creating, developing, or strengthening their scholarly online presence.
