Exploring Active Learning: Four-Session Workshop Series

Exploring Active Learning: Four-Session Workshop Series

Facilitators:  Luciano Santos and John Cheeseman

Active learning is an ever-present topic in teaching and learning. However, the question remains:  How can we go beyond a surface approach to active learning?

The Academic Development Centre is launching an Active Learning Initiative to support faculty in moving towards a deeper understanding of active learning. As the first step of this Initiative, Exploring Active Learning is a four-session series where participants will explore active learning concepts, principles, and strategies. Participants will also have an opportunity to design an active learning activity/lesson to be implemented during the program.

**Registration is for the full series, so please be prepared to attend all four sessions.**

Light refreshments will be provided.

Location: All sessions will be held in the ADC’s Flexible Learning Lab - FLL (EL2462), or in the Active Learning Classroom - ALC (EL2463)
