Student Accommodations in Winter 2021
With another term of remote teaching ahead, you may have questions about applying student accommodations in this unique environment and teaching online in an accessible way. You’re in luck! ADC and Accessibility have teamed up to offer a range of asynchronous resources and two synchronous Q&A sessions (30 minutes).
Please review the asynchronous materials before attending a Q&A session, and come prepared to ask an Access Advisor or Faculty Development Consultant all your questions about accommodations and accessible teaching practices!
You can watch these videos:
Part 1: General Changes to the Accommodation Process (19:57) covers topics such as what to do with an accommodation letter in the virtual environment
Part 2: Adapting Specific Accommodations for the Virtual Environment (11:25) covers topics such as students recording sessions as an accommodation
Part 3: Accommodations for Remote Assessment (3:25) covers how faculty can deal with accommodations for exams and assignments
