Session 3: Fostering Learning Through Teaching and Learning Activities

A new academic year is about to start, and many instructors still have questions about how to best prepare their courses in this uncertain climate. This workshop series will explore how we can use the primary components of course design to create more resilient courses for Fall 2021. In session 1, we will focus on how to leverage the power of learning objectives to guide key pedagogical decisions about the course. Session 2 will open space for us to discuss different approaches to assessment that are aligned with our stated goals and objectives, regardless of the mode in which the course is delivered. Finally, during session 3, we will explore different teaching and learning activities that can enable our students to achieve the intended learning outcomes.

In order to accommodate instructors with different health needs and preferences, these sessions will be delivered online.
