The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is about engaging in systematic inquiry about our teaching. It is an applied field that should enhance teaching practice and, ultimately, student learning (Felten, 2013). While it is clear how SoTL informs our teaching, for many instructors (new and experienced in SoTL), it can sometimes be a challenge to articulate how their SoTL research connects with their disciplinary-focused research programs. This workshop will explore the ways in which SoTL activity (generation and dissemination) can be developed and integrated into your scholarship trajectory.
