In this online book study we will explore alternative approaches to grading such as standards-based grading and specifications grading and will critically reflect on how our grading practices can better encourage student growth. We will use Clark and Talbert’s (2023) book, “Grading for Growth: A Guide to Alternative Grading Practices That Promote Authentic Learning and Student Engagement in Higher Education” as a source for our discussions (available online through the MRU library).
