This workshop is an opportunity to analyze assessment descriptions for greater clarity and transparency. In the first part of the session we will explore the TILT technique (Transparency in Learning and Teaching; Winkelmes, 2016) as a tool for better communicating about assessment with students. In the latter part of the session you will have an opportunity to use the framework with your own assessment descriptions. Please bring an assessment description (e.g., assignment sheet) with you to the workshop.
