SUMMARY:Designing and Implementing Multimodal Assignments
DESCRIPTION:Are you considering introducing or revising a multimodal (or 
 audio/visual) assignment in your course? Perhaps you are interested in 
 giving students a chance to share their knowledge through creative and 
 non-traditional formats such as podcasts\, videos\, infographics\, or 
 otherwise – or maybe you are looking for assignment designs that can help 
 you meet the challenges and opportunities that come with genAI tools? In 
 this workshop\, participants will consider key questions for meaningful 
 engagement with multimodal assignments from the perspectives of both 
 faculty and students. With support from specialists in the Library\, 
 Student Learning Services\, and ADC\, participants will use an assessment 
 lifecycle model to develop their own multimodal assignment idea\, mapping 
 out key components\, processes\, milestones\, and opportunities for support 
 across the planning\, implementation\, and assessment stages. This workshop 
 is open to all faculty\, regardless of their level of experience with using 
 multimodal assignments in various formats. Come prepared to discuss a more 
 traditional assignment you’re thinking of adapting\, or to work on an
